Sunday 1st June 2025

It was very misty this morning. I helped a French vanner fill his fresh water tank by lending him my large non standard adapter. We travelled south west to the "Aire" at Carla Bayle only to find that vans are only allowed to park there between 6.00 and 20.00! There is a lake here and there were lots of people doing Sunday afternoon things.

We quit Carla Bayle and travelled west. We stopped for the day at the Aire at Saint Croix Volvestre. Its next to a rugby pitch which currently only has one set of goalposts.

There are three vans here of one sort or another which appear to live here permanently.

I took a walk into town. Here's the Museum (closed).

It's a pretty little place.

A smallish river flows through the town.

Next to the Aire is a very large old peoples home. At about 22.30 this evening a tremendous thunder storm started. As a precaution we moved our van from the grass onto the hardstanding!

Today we travelled 76 miles (122 kilometres). We are at: N43.1264 E1.1704

The blog is an oasis of peace amid the awfulness of reading the news. Thanks.
