This morning after servicing the van at Irurtzun I managed to get us trapped in the Aire and needed the help of the Emergency Services to get the Municipality to open the barrier and let us out. All my fault and very highly embarrassing!! A couple of vanners from the Netherlands who turned up helped us too. Many thanks them, to the Emergency Services and to the Municipality of Irurtzun.

Having escaped from the Aire we travelled west into the centre of the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz where we did a supermarket shop. We then came a short way north east to a car park by a reservoir. Here's the view from the side door of our van.

The car park is in an old quarry.

There is a cycle path across the road. Ann decided it looked a bit rough for her wheels.

It was hot this afternoon - we got our chairs our.

We saw this sailing boat on the reservoir. You can see the dam behind it.

There are some lovely flowers and lots of fennel next to our parking place. We used some of the fennel leaves to flavour our evening meal.

Today we travelled 61 miles (98 kilometres). We are at: N42.9368 W2.6229
