Today Tuesday 16th June was mostly overcast with rain at times. We travelled through Dunkeld and Blairgowrie then north on the A93 up to Braemar.

We found a tap in Braemar to fill our fresh water tank. Nearby was this interesting structure. What is it?

We turned up our nose at the chance to visit Balmoral Castle and pressed on up the A939 to where we stopped briefly by a lone Scotts Pine to marinade the strawberries.

We are staying the night just outside the town of Toumintoul some way south east of Grantown on Spey.
