Today Sunday 14th June dawned cold and rainy. We travelled over the Lammermuir Hills towards Edinburgh stopping off by this river for a cup of tea.

We took the Park and Rail into Edinburgh Waverley Station.

Here's the (Walter) Scott Monument in Princes Street.

Dr Livingstone Seagull I presume?

We visited the National Gallery of Scotland. Titian's Three Ages of Man.

Rembrandt self portrait.

Gauguin.

Monet.

Cannaletto

We moved on to the Royal Mile.

And The Cathedral.

We visited an interesting cemetery where among others the philosopher John Hume is buried. It is the home of several homeless people.

After this time we were both suffering from "Museum Back" and other tourist afflictions so we took the Park and Rail back to our van. The sign on the toilet in the train was somewhat hard to fathom.

We are parked for the night on the shore of the Firth of Forth at Portobello just east of Edinburgh. Here's the view from our van.

The weather has brightened up. We watched on TV England's mens' football team beat Slovenia 3-2 in the European Championship Qualifier this evening.
