This morning we moved the van a few kilometres and parked at an area known as the Gorges of Franchard.

There are lots of interestingly shaped boulders everywhere.

How about this?

I wonder where Henry Moore got his inspiration from?

Nearby there is a hermitage. I don't think the hermit lives here anymore.

There is an old well close to the hermitage.

We followed a waymarked circular trail through the forest. As you can see you are expected to hold on to your children as there are plenty of steep places for them to fall over!

There are some amazing rocks here.

A tortoise perhaps?

In places the trail follows the crest of a narrow ridge.

Everywhere is heavily forested.

It would be difficult to get lost unless you particularly wanted to.

As we were returning to our parking place we came upon this "disk".

I think it is about the governments of all the countries in the world needing to have a commitment to environmental conservation!?

From the Forest of Fontainebleau we moved on east the shortish distance to the city of Sens in Burgundy. We parked at the town aire de camping cars which is a former campsite It is costing us 12 euros for 24 hours including electricity and water. When we tried to watch TV our satellite dish stopped working. This is the third time it has broken down in about 18 months. I'm thinking of scrapping it and installing a terrestrial TV aerial.

Today we travelled 45 miles (72 kilometres)  We are at N48.18293 E3.29015
