Before leaving Chaumont we took on diesel and did a supermarket shop. We stopped for a cup of tea on the banks of the river Saone.

This river while not very big here ultimately joins with the Rhone and flows into the Mediterranean.

 

We stopped for the day at the aire de camping cars in the village of St Loup. The aire is currently dispensing free water even though it purports to charge for this commodity.

You'd never see a sign like this in Britain - no parking except for camper vans!

Ann is spending a lot of time reading novels.
