Wednesday 23rd June 2021

This morning we set our satnav to take us to our favoured supermarket which turned out to be in the middle of Edinburgh and to be a very small neighbourhood shop rather than the superstore we were hoping for!

Having realised our mistake we reset our satnav to take us out of Edinburgh and north over the Forth Bridge.

We crossed the Firth of Forth on the new bridge which is even more impressive than the old one. We then stopped of at the town of Cupar to finally get to do a supermarket shop.

We stopped for the day at Tayport where we found this brilliant parking place next to the Firth of Tay.

We got out the bikes and went for a ride passing this excellent notice.

We headed for the nearby forest.

Soon after entering the forest we saw a deer but it ran off too quickly for me to photograph it.

We chatted to a local man on an electric wheelchair.

Along the coast here are the remains of World War 2 anti tank defences. The idea was that these would stop the Germans from unloading tanks from landing craft.

We took a rest before returning to our parking place by the way we had come.

When we got back to our van the tide had gone out a long way.

We saw this strange rainbow like phenomenon out towards the open sea.

The sun set after 22.00 this evening. It's setting later every day as we travel north.

Today we travelled 89 miles. We are at: N56.44541 W2.86981
