It rained all night and it's rained all day. We travelled north on the A1 and east on M62 to reach the north side of the Humber Estuary at North Ferriby. We parked by the shore. Here's our view of the Humber Bridge.

The car park was surprisingly empty when we arrived, given the great views, but since then several cars have come and gone. There are no nasty "no overnight parking" signs here which is unusual on the coast these days.

The tide is going out at present exposing more and more mud.

A long distance footpath is marked on the beach.

We've checked that there is good TV reception here as we're planning to watch England v Scotland play football in the European Championship this evening.

Today we travelled 115 miles (185 kilometres). We are at: N53.713658 W0.50758

Hi Ann & Roger,
The bin men didn't like some of the stuff you left for them (pressure washer, plastic containers and roof felt), they are now back in your drive with your bins. Good to see your Blog again, keep it going!
Best wishes....Steve

The match didn't go anywhere but good reception in the van is always helpful
Views must be amazing in better weather. I'd love to do a long distance footpath
