Friday 25th June 2021

It was very wet and windy in the night. This morning we stopped off at Stonehaven to take on water from a standpipe on the harbour wall on our way north.

For some reason we've forgotten we went into the centre of the City of Aberdeen instead of bypassing it. We didn't stop.

We stopped for the day at the former fishing village of Collieston.

Parking for visitors is on the pier. We put £2 for the upkeep of the pier in the box provided for donations.

I took a walk around the village in the rain. I talked to a couple of locals. They told me that since the village had become an unprofitable place to fish, most of the houses were now holiday homes.

Later on there was a children's party on the beach with a barbecue and boat rides.

Today we travelled 78 miles (126 kilometres). We are at: N57.34752 W1.93325
