Today we travelled west. Along the way we passed through a village where there were multiple stork's nests on poles with storks and their chicks in them! What is it about this village that attracts so many storks to nest here. Maybe the prepared nesting sites?

As the day went by the weather became worse and worse with frequent heavy showers. By early afternoon we had arrived at the town of Pont A Mousson where we stopped for the day at the Aire. Here's the view from our parking place. If there wasn't rain on the windscreen you would have been able to see the River Moselle between the motorhomes parked in front of us.

After we arrived here I visited the Capitainerie, (it's a boating place), to pay the aire fees of 11 euros. It's quite good value as you get electricity, water, wifi, showers and launderette included in the price! Here's the Captain himself going round with his clipboard to make sure everyone has paid.

Ann took a stroll around. Jolly boating weather?

The Moselle is a big wide river here. Large cargo boats go up and down quite regularly.

Some of the vanners on the front row can fish directly in front of their vans.

Ann came back a bit wet after taking these photographs. As our boiler won't work on gas at present we used our electric hook up to heat the water and Ann washed some clothes and I had a shower.

Today we travelled 77 miles (124 kilometres). We are at: N48.9025 E6.0615
