Today we travelled in a north westerly direction stopping at the city of Verdun to buy groceries and diesel.

We stopped for the day at the town of Vouziers - at the Aire de Camping Car - where else but in France would you see this marvellous sign - "No Parking Except for Camper Vans"!

We are parked next to the town cemetery which contains the grave of the famous French aviator Roland Garros. He was a WW1 fighter pilot and was shot down and killed by a German fighter pilot over this town in 1918. The French Tennis Tournament (the equivalent of Wimbledon) is named after him.

As well as ourselves there is also a VERY large French registered van here.

I took a walk into the town centre. Here's the back of the town hall........

...... and here's the front. The town hall has a bell tower which rings on the hour.

Back at the van I sampled some beer brewed at Pont a Mousson where we stayed last night - excellent!

The local post vans spend the night in the car park just next to the Aire.

Today we travelled 94 miles (151 kilometres). We are at: N49.4004 E4.7017
