Friday 3rd June 2022

The sun came filtering through the trees at our overnight stop this morning.

We travelled in a generally westerly direction today. Our first stop was at this very nice swimming lake.

There were some wild ducks or geese ?? visiting the swimming lake while we were there.

Later on we stopped at this high viewpoint where we could see mountains to the south.

Next to the viewpoint there is this elaborate shrine. We made further stops. Firstly to take on water and secondly to buy a loaf of bread.

We stopped for the day at this large car park in Uberlingen on the shore of the enormous lake called the Bodensee. The car park is separated from the lake shore by a railway line and a marina. It costs 5 euros to stay here for up to 24 hours.

We took a walk through a bridge under the railway line down to the edge of the lake. The Bodensee is comparatively narrow here and you can just about see the other side.

There is a shingle beach.

Ann usually looks for a special stone to take back at places like this.

The marina is quite extensive.

There's a sign at the marina entrance to reassure boaters that they're where they thought they were. Soon after we got back to our van it rained quite heavily and there were a few rumbles of thunder. This evening it has brightened up and the sun is out.

Today we travelled 62 miles (100 kilometres). We are at: N47.7581 E9.1824
