Saturday 3rd July 2021

It was a bit overcast early on at Laxford Bridge this morning but it soon brightened up.

Laxford Bridge itself is quite a beautiful old structure.

We took the road south heading for Ullapool.

We passed through some impressive scenery along the way.

The views of the peak of Suilven (731 metres) were particularly fine.

We stopped for the day at the Morefield Motel in Ullapool. This establishment is a Birtstops host. These venues allow members of Britstops such as ourselves to stay free for up to 24 hours without any obligation to buy anything.

We took a walk.

We soon got down to the shore of Loch Broom.

Back at the motel another Britstopper couple arrived and were directed by the management to park in front of us. They have a very large van.

The couple with the very large van are from Yorkshire. We had a chat with them. Here they are having their tea in the motel restaurant.

We had a very nice meal in the motel restaurant and later watched England beat Ukraine 4-0 to reach the semi finals of the European Championship.

Today we travelled 77 miles (124 kilometres). We are at: N57.90291 W5.16450
