It was very busy at Tarbet Pier this morning. A coachload of geriatrics turned up and there was nowhere for the coach to park as campervans and motorhomes were occupying all the coach parking places. After servicing the van we left this chaos and travelled south to Garelochhead where we bought some supplies. We then travelled around the peninsula between Loch Long and Gare Loch. This is Loch Long.

We stopped briefly on the shore of Gare Loch opposite the Faslane Naval Base. This is where the United Kingdom's Trident Submarines are based.

Does this telephoto show the superstructure of one of the nukes? Ann was a bit concerned that we might be arrested or assassinated by the "security services" for taking these kinds of pictures! All around this area there are roadside signs prohibiting the flying of drones.

Back at Garelochhead we stopped for the day in this nice quiet parking area just up hill from the village.

Today we travelled 36 miles (58 kilometres). We are at: N56.08993 W4.83619
