Thursday 5th December 2019

This morning I had a bit of a look around in the daylight. Here's the pub.

This is Broadwell Village Green.

We moved on to Elite Motorhomes near Banbury where I bought a replacement thermostatic sensor for our van's heating system. £44.99 for a little bit of plastic but at least the central heating is working properly now.

We travelled on in a north easterly direction. We saw this interesting sculpture along the way.

The rest of the day was a bit frustrating. We visited the town of Oakham and emptied our toilet in their posh public conveniences. We then went to a wild camping place on the shore of Rutland Water but decided not to stay as it was sloping and very muddy. We then tried another wild camping place which turned out to be a forestry log depository so we moved on to The Collyweston Slater pub car park in Collyweston, Northamptonshire where we are staying tonight.

Here's the pub.

We went for a meal in the pub.

It was all decked out with Christmas stuff. We had fish and chips and beer.

Back at the van we had some chocolates for pud. It's very windy tonight. I quite like it when the weather is bad outside and we're nice and warm in our van!

Today we travelled 126 miles (203 kilometres). We are at N52.61335 W0.52955
