Wednesday 11th December 2019

It was a beautiful sunny day but with a cold wind.

We dressed up warmly and took a walk along the beach at Cley next the Sea.

The waves were small.

The beach was littered with dead starfishes which had presumably been washed onshore by a recent storm.

There were also the bodies of hundreds of juvenile flatfish which had suffered a similar fate to the starfish.

Ann exchanged views on the starfish and flatfish slaughter with a passer by.

I was well dressed up to resist the cold too.

Four wheel drive vehicle tracks along the pebble beach.

Inland there is a vast wetland area.

There is lots of bird life - Shell Ducks?

A Curlew?

A very interesting habitat. What are these plants? Not heather. Not broom. Not Gorse.

We moved on the short distance east to West Runton stopping along the way at a petrol station to take on water and buy potatoes and bread. Here's a view of our parking place with its beautiful clifftop views.

The coast path passes just in front of us.

The moon came up over the sea. Note the passing ship.

Today we travelled 10 miles (16 kilometres). We are at N52.94098 E1.25059
