This morning we went on a circular trail through the forest - we chose the red route

It was quite strenuous with lots of ups and downs.

At the top of the trail there were some marvellous panoramic views.

Towards the end of the walk we passed through some really enchanting woodland scenery.

The walk ended back at the old arch by our parking place.

We moved on to the town of Llanidloes where we stopped briefly to buy a few supplies before taking the mountain road towards Machynlleth stopping for a cup of tea en route to take in this view of Llyn Clywedog.

From Machynlleth we followed the coast road through Aberdovey and stopped for the day at this car park just north of Tywyn.

We took a walk along the bank of the adjoining estuary. You can see the peak of Cadair Idris in the background.

We saw some ducks.

We also saw some geese and an Egret.

The hill across the estuary is scarred by old mine workings.

We are parked on the route of the Welsh Coastal Path - this nice bridge gets the path over the mouth of the estuary. The Barmouth to Tywyn rail line is just to the right of the picture.

Today we travelled 60 miles (97 kilometres). We are at N52.60424 W4.11797
