Friday 8th November 2019

It was sunny for once this morning. I got up early and took Ann down to Dartmoor National Park HQ where she volunteers in the Archaeology Department on Fridays.

In the afternoon I took the van down to DNP HQ to pick Ann up. This place is very popular for lunches at their cafe and for (dog) walks in the woods. Hard to find a parking place!

The National Park HQ is quite an impressive building.

There is a lot of mistletoe on the trees here - quite unusual in these parts.

Ann left work about 3.30 and we had a nice easy journey up to Glastonbury in Somerset where she is spending the weekend with her children Kerry, Jake and Hannah in a holiday cottage. Having dropped Ann off I moved on to the Railway Inn on the Somerset Levels where I'm staying for the night.

The Railway Inn is a very traditional boozer - none of this hot food rubbish - the most you can get to eat here is a packet of crisps and a bag of nuts! The place was very busy. The landlord is obviously doing a really good job. I had some beer, some local cider and some lager.

Today we/I travelled 92 miles (148 kilometres). I am at N51.15443 W2.78842
