Last night there was a good display of Northern lights visible from the ship. During the night we passed through the North Cape area again and this morning stopped briefly at Havoysund where we saw an eagle - unfortunately too far away to photograph.

At about 11.00 Polarlys docked at Hammerfest - reputedly the northernmost city in the world!? It was snowing.

Here's the city hall.

We saw this group of statues in a little park next to the city hall.

There is a steep slope above the city which is covered with avalanche mitigation structures.

There is a modern church.

There is also an old wooden church nearby.

Ann - all togged up.

On our way back to the ship we saw this mural.
