Saturday 7th November

Made a short journey today, much of it through eucalyptus forests which are very characteristic of the Rias Altas.

We stopped for the day at the very pleasant small seaside town of San Cibrao. Here's the view from our parking place at the Aire. We travelled 28 miles (45 kilometres) today.

The town is built on a narrow promontory with beaches on both sides.

There are two lighthouses at the end of the promontory, only one of which flashes at night.

This place is all about fish and fishing.

This town is the complete opposite of Porto de Vares where we were yesterday in terms of their attitude to the likes of us. The road we are parked in has this marvellous title which translated reads "the parking place of campervans"!

It was a lovely warm afternoon.

There are three vans here. A Spanish one (nearest), ours, and an Austrian one (furthest away). We talked to the Austrian couple. They have been away since August and aren't planning to get back till April!
