Today we made the shortish journey north from Saffle to Arvika where we serviced the van at a garage and then stopped for the day on a designated motorhome/campervan parking area on the lakeside. You can park here for free for up to 24 hours.

We went for a ride/walk.

The lakeside is very attractive and well kept.

Apparently 24 hours parking costs 290 SEK (£22.50) at the Marina.

There are plenty of benches for a rest on along the lakeside.

Ann really likes it here as the cycle track is nice and smooth.

I'm not sure what this cairn signifies. There is an interpretive sign in swedish which I couldn't understand.

The churches round here look nothing like the Danish ones.

The authorities here, quite rightly in my view, want the likes of us to park in the designated area!

As rain was threatening we turned around and returned to our van. It rained quite a lot during the aftrnoon and evening.
