Thanks to Ann's excellent diplomacy with the garage's reception staff our van was examined this morning and it needs a new front brake disc and four new front brake pads. They will order the parts and they will be fitted at 8.00 on Thursday 23rd July. Most importantly the van is safe to drive slowly and with care!

Mobile again, we visited the supermarket in Leknes, emptied the toilet and bought a lot of groceries. We then visited a nearby petrol station and took on diesel and water. Finally we moved on a short distance west, back through the undersea tunnel and stopped for the day at Storsandnes beach. Here's the view from our side door.

There is a very nice level newly constructed car park here.

Behind the car park is a steep cliff.

Sheep roam freely round here - it's a bit like Dartmoor!?

Several other vans turned up and stayed for the "night". It seems like dogs have to be kept on a lead by law in Norway.
