Thursday 23rd July 2026

We had a very nice quiet night at Sennesvik Pass! No honking of horns! We were up bright and early for our garage appointment. The van was taken into the workshop at about 7.45. We talked to a swiss couple with two young boys. Their german registered hire van has a red warning light for loss of oil pressure. Their van will be next in the workshop when ours is done.

Our van was ready for collection at about 10.00. One brake disk and four brake pads cost £727 - cheap at the price for Norway! We took on water before leaving Leknes then set off travelling east on the E10 main road.

After travelling past numerous roadworks we stopped for the day at this nice car park at Kongsvik. Here's the view from the side door of our van. The land you can see across the water is mainland Norway, we are still in Lofoten here.

I suppose we are in the church car park. I think the church is quite ugly.

These two little figures guard the car park entrance.

Soon after we arrived this British registered van turned up and stayed for the night. Yorkshire registration plates.

We parked as far away from the noisy E10 as we could and the road noise wasn't a problem at all.

There is a fully stocked self service grocery shop here. Norwegians must be very honest people!

Today we travelled 126 miles (203 kilometres). We are at: N68.56500 E16.24052
