This morning we took on LPG in Burnley and then tried to park at Tesco in Clitheroe but the car park there was full and very pokey. We parked next door at Majestic Wines and I bought some beer and spirits. I then loaded our very full toilet cassette into my holdall and carried it with some difficulty to Tesco's car park where I could put in on a trolley and take it to the toilets to be emptied. I did buy a couple of items before leaving Tesco to compensate them for the use of their disabled toilet.
From Clitheroe we travelled north stopping briefly to look at this dry ski slope which didn't seem to be in use.
We travelled north into The Forest of Bowland and stopped for the day at this small layby on a minor road in a very remote area.
The views for here are truly magnificent! North east towards Yorkshire Dales National Park.
West into the heart of the Forest of Bowland.
There are some nice rocks beside where we are parked. We had some Tesco's lemon drizzle cake for lunch and I'm going to cook vegan sausages and mash followed by the rest of the lemon drizzle cake for our tea.
Today we travelled 34 miles (55 kilometres). We are at N54.0440 W2.4168 Forest of Bowland
