We left our home in Devon about 10.30 and travelled north east to the village of Chewton Mendip arriving at about 15.30. We stopped for the day in a car park next to the village church. We decided to give the church a visit.

It had been dry all day but as soon as we got out and about it started to rain!

It was very gloomy inside the church.

The building seemed a bit short on windows but had some nice old features.

This old window is quite attractive.

A man from Bristol and his two little children were visiting the church at the same time as us. This little one was writing a story in the church visitors book. It poured with rain for the rest of the day so we sat in the van and listened to the rain on the roof.
