Sunday 23rd November 2025
It was wet in the night but cleared up by about 10.30. Gareth and Kerry cooked us a really nice breakfast. We set off about 11.00 and got back to our house in Widecombe about 16.00. We were lucky we got back before dark as our headlights weren't working!
We now have to think seriously about what to do next and whether we have any future as campervanners.
Intermittent faults are notoriously difficult to diagnose and it is easy to be drawn into a doom loop involving throwing more and more money into "repairs" which fail to cure the faults.
At the end of the day, even if the faults appeared to be rectified, would we have enough confidence in our van to set off on a long journey?
Today we travelled 244 miles (393 kilometres). Our round trip from Widecombe to Kent and back over 3 days was a total of 488 miles (786 kilometres).
Many thanks to all of you who have taken an interest in our travels described on this blog over the past 14 years.
Roger

So sorry to hear of your continuing problems with the van Roger, it must be so very disappointing for both of you. Hope you can catch the problem when it's not working, and get a competent person on the case!
Glad you managed to get safely home. Thinking of you jcymru
Many thanks Andy - let's keep our fingers crossed?
Thanks Judy xx
