Monday 20th May 2024

It was a beautiful morning and sunny throughout the day. We saw the deer again that we had seen last night. We left the great spot we at overnighted at and headed for Cliveden on the coast, the sat nav taking us on VERY narrow country lanes! On the way we saw signs for National Trust Tyntesfield and decided to visit. Here we are approaching the house.

Here's the chapel.

This is the front of the house.

Inside is opulent but I thought rather gloomy.

This place was build by a Victorian Era merchant Mr Gibbs.

Outside the house there are magnificent grounds and gardens.

Ann was a bit tired so we got a lift back to the car park in the disabled persons electric bus.

It's free to go on and will take you where you want to go!

Surprise, surprise - the bus was made in China.

From Tyntesfield we moved on to Portishead and parked on the seafront. There was a bin and public toilets here were we could empty our rubbish and sewage.

We parked for the day at the Wishing Well pub in South Gloucestershire where we had arranged to meet Ann's daughter Hannah and her family for a meal later on.

The overflow parking area is quiet and rustic and well away from the road and any rowdy pub goers.

This is in the pub garden. A wishing well?

We had a nice meal in the pub. They have an extensive menu but a few dishes were "off".

Before Hannah, George, Jude and Saul went home to Bristol I took this team photo.

Today we travelled 53 miles (85 kilometres). We are at N51.5079 W2.3909
