We took a ride along the top of the reservoir dam.
The reservoir is frequented by numerous birds including these geese.
This is the view of the reservoir dam from our parking place.
Here's a view across the reservoir from the same location.
It costs £10 to stay here for up to 24 hours. A good initiative by the water company. The gates are closed at 20.00 so we've got the place to ourselves overnight.
Today we travelled 74 miles (119 kilometres) We are at: N54.85459 W1.96527
Derwent Reservoir (No street view available)

Do you know if you can swim in the reservoir ?Andy and I are members of the Open Water Swimming Association
Hi Sraddhabha,
Many thanks for all your comments on our blog. Unfortunately Northumbrian Water company don't allow swimming in their reservoirs.
The company is apparently owned by some rich bloke in Hong Cong and when the company was fined by the regulator for paying him too big a dividend he just deducted the massive sum from the company's revenue leading to staff wage cuts etc!!
How did your trip to Pembrokeshire go?
Love, Roger.
