Saturday 1st August 2026
We travelled south west and then south, stopping off along the way to empty waste tanks and do a supermarket shop. We parked for the day at this really nice car park next to an inlet of the Gulf of Bothnia.
Here's the view from the side door of our van. The yellow flowers are Tansey - an aromatic and toxic plant! As it was Saturday afternoon lots of pleasure boats were passing.
There were lots of geese and ducks around. Here a flock of geese are grazing in the shade next to the car park.
We went for a ride/walk.
There is a really nice walking/cycling circuit here. Out along the sea shore........
.....and back a liittle inland.
Very pleasant little route!
Back at the car park I needed a rest on one of the picnic benches. Ann thinks that's amusing!
Later on three women in a german registered small van turned up and parked opposite us. They have a roof tent.
Still later on, as the sun went down, there was some really nice light which this photo unfortunately doesn't show that well.
Today we travelled 120 miles ( 193 kilometres). We are at: N61.30814 E17.09693
